Job summary

Aspire Rural Health System is seeking a Respiratory Therapist in the Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Department in Cass City, MI. Full-time, weekday days with full benefits.

The RT will assess, educate, monitor, and treat patients in pulmonary and cardiac rehab, develop individualized exercise programs, promote safe participation, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to improve respiratory and cardiovascular health.

Qualifications

• Graduate of JRCRTE approved respiratory care program.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with NBRC.
• AS degree required; 1 year hospital experience preferred.
• CPR/BLS certified at date of hire; ACLS/PALS within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Assess, educate, monitor, and treat patients in pulmonary/cardiac rehab.
• Develop individualized exercise programs and disease management.
• Promote safe exercise participation and monitor patient response.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for patient care.

OPEN POSITION:

Position:Respiratory Therapist Department: Cardiopulmonary Rehab Location: Cass City, MI Hours: Full-time. Days. No Holidays. No Weekends. Full Benefits. Aspire Rural Health Systems is seeking a Respiratory Therapist in our Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Department. REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduate of a Joint Review Committee for Respiratory Therapy Education (JRCRTE) approved program of respiratory care.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) required. (RRT needs to be obtained within 6 months of graduating)
• Associate of Science (A.S.) required.
• One year hospital experience in respiratory care preferred.
• Able to perform CPR and Current BLS certification required at date of hire by the American Heart Association.
• Must obtain ACLS/PALS within 6 months of hire date by American Heart Association.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The RT acquires training and clinical experience while providing logistical support for the operations of the Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Department. The RT is responsible for assessing, educating, monitoring, and treating patients enrolled in pulmonary and/or cardiac rehabilitation programs. This role focuses on improving patients' respiratory and cardiovascular health through individualized exercise programs, patient education, disease management, and interdisciplinary collaboration. The therapist promotes safe exercise participation, monitors patient response to therapy, and supports long-term lifestyle modification.
