Job summary

Plumas District Hospital seeks a Respiratory Therapist to coordinate and administer respiratory therapy, cardiac testing, and arterial blood gas monitoring for patients of all ages in a Cardio-Pulmonary department.

Location: Quincy, CA. This is a full-time position with flexible shifts and competitive pay scales based on experience. Eligibility for benefits includes comprehensive health plans and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Current California licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• Current CPR, ACLS, PALS, and NRP.
• Experience with cardiac testing such as ECGs, stress testing and holter monitors.
• Neonatal ICU experience.
• Arterial blood gas puncture and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and competence of all techniques and values in the treatment of neonates, infants, pediatrics, adult and geriatric patients within the scope of the cardio-pulmonary department.
• Evaluates lab data and diagnostic changes in patient condition and develops care plans with the team for critical interventions.
• Is a resourceful team member handling emergencies, CPR, trauma cases and equipment failures.
• Practices safe and effective pharmacology with appropriate therapeutic dosages.
• Participates in multi-disciplinary care plans and consults with physicians on outcomes.

Nature and Scope

The Respiratory Care Practitioner is responsible for coordination and administration of all modes of respiratory therapy, cardiac testing, pulmonary function testing and arterial blood gas monitoring. Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and competence of all techniques and values in the treatment of neonates, infants, and pediatric, adult and geriatric patients within the scope of the Cardiopulmonary Department.

We are located at 1065 Bucks Lake Road, Quincy, CA 95971.

Compensation

Compensation for Benefited, Full-Time Pay Scale

• Base Rate: $42.33-$60.35 per hour (88,046.40 - $125,533.11 annually)
• Starting pay is determined using our clinical pay scales, which feature 13 steps recognizing up to 30 years of relevant experience.
• Eligible employees may also receive shift differential and holiday pay

Compensation for Non-Benefited, Full-Time Pay Scale

• Base Rate: $50.80-$72.43 per hour (105,659.84 - 150,645.67 annually)
• Starting pay is determined using our clinical pay scales, which feature 13 steps recognizing up to 30 years of relevant experience.
• Eligible employees may also receive shift differential and holiday pay
