Job summary

Intensive Specialty Hospital in Bossier City, LA is seeking a Certified Respiratory Therapist for full-time, LTAC care. The role involves providing cardio-pulmonary services, including ventilator care, diagnostic procedures and pulmonary rehabilitation under state act and hospital policies.

Intensive Specialty Hospital is a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) hospital. We provide cardiopulmonary care, ventilator and respiratory care, complex wound care, rehabilitation therapies, addiction medicine program, geriatric psychiatry program, multidisciplinary pain program, and outpatient counseling program. Intensive Specialty Hospital is the largest provider of LTAC services in Northwest Louisiana.

The Certified Respiratory Therapist will provide cardio-pulmonary services according to the scope of the State Respiratory Care Practice Act and the hospital policy and procedure manuals. The Respiratory Care Practitioner may administer and perform those direct and indirect cardio-pulmonary services, including but not limited to, the administration of pharmacological and diagnostic and therapeutic agents related to cardio-pulmonary procedures necessary to implement a treatment, disease prevention pulmonary rehabilitation, and diagnostic regimen prescribed by a physician using safe and aseptic techniques.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Education: Associates Degree

Certifications required:

• Current National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) credential (i.e., CRT, RRT)
