Job summary

Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, Missouri is hiring a Respiratory Therapist to join our Respiratory Care Department—someone who leads with skill, compassion, and a drive to positively impact every patient and family we serve.

This full-time, nights position offers a 6pm–6am schedule (72 hours per pay period) with a $2.25/hour shift differential from 11pm to 6am, and the opportunity to provide high-quality respiratory care to inpatients, outpatients, and emergencies.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapist program with an Associates Degree.
• Current State of Missouri Registered Respiratory Therapist licensure.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform pulmonary function tests to measure lung volume and flow, and analyze blood gases.
• Administer aerosolized medications, manage life-support systems such as ventilators.
• Instruct patients and families on inhalers, oxygen tanks, and home care techniques.
• Review patient progress and adjust treatments as needed.
• Update patient records documenting procedures and verbal orders.

What Your Day Looks Like: The Respiratory Care Departmentsets a high standard for patient care andseekstoprovidetimelyand quality respiratory care to inpatients, outpatients, and emergency patients under medical supervision.

As aRespiratory Therapist, you will be:

• Performing pulmonary function tests to measure lung volume and flow, and analyzing blood samples using blood gas analyzers to check oxygen and carbon dioxide levels
• Administering aerosolized medications, performing chest physiotherapy, and managing life-support systems such as mechanical ventilators
• Teaching patients and their families how toproperly use inhalers, oxygen tanks, and ventilators at home, and counseling individuals on disease prevention or smoking cessation
• Reviewing patient progress, andmaking adjustments totreatments as needed
• Updating patient records to document procedures and verbal orders for therapy and equipment

Qualifications:

• Education:Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapist program with anAssociatesDegree

• Licensure/Certification:CurrentState of Missouri Registered Respiratory Therapist
• Physical Requirements:Frequent walking, standing, bending; performing repetitive movements; ability to lift/carry up to 10lbs- 20 lbs.
