Respiratory care is ordered by physicians according to established standards, practices, and protocols.
We are looking for someone with working knowledge of human respiratory anatomy, physiology, and pathology related to respiratory care. The candidate should understand the operation of respiratory equipment and its application in a clinical setting, assess hazardous conditions, and work effectively with patients of all ages. The ability to remain calm under stress and communicate well with diverse individuals is essential.

Assess the physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and cultural dimensions of the patient, including educational needs, and document appropriately. Refer to competency validation documents for the populations served where applicable.
Perform all respiratory therapy treatments and services, including application, operation, monitoring, and management of equipment such as oxygen, mixed gases, humidity, ventilators, bronchial hygiene, lung expansion, spirometry, EKG, and blood gas analysis.
Employ therapeutic communication, interviewing techniques, problem-solving, and crisis intervention during patient care.
Respond to emergencies, perform CPR, maintain airway, provide oxygen and ventilation, and conduct closed-chest cardiac massage as needed.
Enhance workflow efficiency by monitoring interdepartmental systems, reviewing electronic medical records and physician orders, and recommending improvements.
This position offers a hiring range of $34.98 - $62.52.
