Purpose & Scope:

The Respiratory Care Practitioner is responsible for the direct and indirect respiratory care of assigned patients, adhering to department and hospital policies. The role requires interpretive skills, interactive consultation, and effective communication through spoken, written, and manual means.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in respiratory therapy
• Under one year of experience
• Licensed as a Respiratory Therapist by the Virginia Department of Health Professions
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
• BLS certification
