Job summary

Mercy South is seeking a Registered Nurse - Respiratory (Bronchoscopy) for a full-time day shift. This 36-hour/week role requires coordination with multiple departments to provide high-quality care to patients in a respiratory/bronchoscopy setting.

Qualifications include an nursing degree (AD/Diploma/BSN), active RN licensure, BLS (ACLS preferred), and the ability to lift 50 lbs. Inpatient ICU/ER experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. ACLS required.
• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Inpatient experience, preferably ICU, stepdown or ER, but will consider several years of floor experience.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
