Job summary

Grand Valley Health and Rehabilitation in Martinsville, IN is seeking a Respiratory Nurse to join our skilled nursing team. The role focuses on diagnosing, treating, and managing respiratory conditions, with day shift responsibilities and direct resident care.

You will supervise unit staff, communicate with management, explain treatment goals to residents and families, and ensure restorative nursing measures as ordered. Indiana RN or LPN licensure is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Currently licensed by the State of Indiana as an RN or LPN.
• Experienced or trained in nursing services administration, rehabilitation or geriatric nursing.
• Experienced or trained in Respiratory/respiratory therapy.

Responsibilities

• Provide for the daily care, health needs, safety and comfort of the residents.
• Assure that restorative nursing care measures are performed as indicated and ordered.
• Maintain open communication with nursing management regarding conditions on the nursing unit and concerns related to staff, residents and visitors.
• Explain treatment goals and expectations to the residents and family, in an effort to obtain feedback and cooperation.
• Supervise/manage personnel on his/her unit.
