Job summary

MED-STAT HEALTH CARE INC seeks a Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week travel contract in the Elizabeth area. Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30. You will evaluate patients, develop and adjust respiratory care plans, and collaborate with patients and families to explain treatments.

Preferred candidates have 2 years of experience, NJ license on start, BLS/ACLS, and Epic proficiency. NICU/Peds experience is highly regarded; locals welcomed.

Qualifications

• NBRC or state board credential required.
• State licensure required to practice.
• 2 years of respiratory experience preferred; NICU/Peds a plus.
• BLS and ACLS certification preferred; NJ license required on start.
• Epic experience required.

Responsibilities

• Meet with and evaluate a variety of patients.
• Make recommendations on respiratory care based on specific needs.
• Perform basic respiratory care, including tubes, machines & adjustments.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our team! This is a 13-week travel contract Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) in the Elizabeth area. As a Respiratory Therapist on the team, you will be responsible for evaluating patients undergoing many different procedures and medical situations and making recommendations for an appropriate respiratory treatment plan. You may also provide respiratory care to medically fragile or complex patients, insert or remove endotracheal tubes, and work closely with the patient and their family to ensure they understand what is happening every step of the way. The ideal candidate has a patient, kind attitude with excellent bedside manner, a deep understanding of patient needs, and a strong grasp on respiratory regulations and best practices.
