Job summary

Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami is seeking a Respiratory Therapist student-enrolled candidate to support respiratory storage, supply management, and secure handling of medical gases. The role includes ensuring par levels, assisting with ventilator processing, and adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities include education for staff on gas procurement and storage, and communication with the Respiratory Director on any safety concerns.

Qualifications

• Student enrolled in a 2- or 4-year Accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• No prior work experience required.

Responsibilities

• Monitors equipment levels in Respiratory Storage areas to assist front-line staff.
• Monitors supplies and par levels to optimize availability for staff.
• Monitors cylinder levels in Medical Gas storage to ensure proper par levels.
• Conducts cylinder rounds to assist Patient Care units in proper storage, signage, and securing cylinders.
• Ensures ventilator re-processing areas are stocked and cleaned.
• Maintains appropriate par levels for all RT equipment in satellite storage areas.
• Assists with medical gas shutoffs as required by Project Managers and RT personnel.
• Educates employees on proper procurement, securing, and storage of medical gases.
• Notifies Respiratory Director of irregularities, safety, or compliance concerns.
