Mount Sinai Medical Center of Florida, Inc. in Miami Beach is seeking a Respiratory Student Equipment Tech per diem to support frontline clinical teams.

This student-role provides exposure to respiratory equipment storage, gas cylinders, and ventilator re-processing in a large teaching hospital setting. The ideal candidate is actively enrolled in a recognized Respiratory Care program with no prior professional experience required.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a 2- or 4-year Accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Monitors equipment levels in the Respiratory Storage areas to ensure front line staff have timely access.
• Monitors supplies to maintain appropriate par levels for staff availability.
• Monitors cylinder levels in Respiratory Medical Gas storage area to ensure proper par level.
• Conducts cylinder rounds to assist units with proper storage, signage and securing cylinders.
• Ensures proper securing of all medical gas cylinders in the main facility.
• Maintains ventilator re-processing areas stocked and cleaned.
• Ensures satellite storage areas have appropriate par levels for RT equipment.
• Assists in education for procurement, securing, and storage of all medical gases.
• Notifies Respiratory Director of safety or compliance concerns related to storage and maintenance of medical gases.
• Other related duties as needed.
