Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health Inc. is seeking a Respiratory Equipment Technician to maintain, clean and assemble respiratory equipment at a designated hospital. This role supports patient care by ensuring equipment is safe, reliable and ready for use.

You will work closely with clinical staff to uphold high standards of device readiness and sanitation. The position requires strong attention to detail, good communication, and the ability to manage cylinder inventory and supply orders while assisting

The Respiratory Equipment Technician maintains, cleans and assembles equipment at their assigned Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH) hospital. Orders supplies, manages the cylinder inventory and services the central gas system.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

• One year experience as a Respiratory Therapy Equipment Technician.
• Experience with high pressure oxygen cylinders and electrical devices.

Licenses and Certifications Preferred:

• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider (HCP) Certification.

Working Conditions:

• Lifts a minimum of 10 lbs., pushes and pulls a minimum of 5 lbs. and stands a minimum of 6 hour a day.
