Job summary

Miami Children’s Hospital is seeking an Equipment Tech II to perform decontamination, reassembly, and basic testing of respiratory therapy equipment, ensuring readiness for patient use. You will manage logs, maintain RT supplies at par levels, and assist with customer inquiries in a fast-paced clinical setting.

The role requires 1–3 years of healthcare experience, strong English communication, and basic computer skills. Spanish is a plus; this is a full-time daytime position based in Miami.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years healthcare experience required.
• Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to follow simple instructions and perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to relate cooperatively with clients and peers.
• Basic computer and printer skills; willingness to learn software.
• Spanish knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Delivers and collects respiratory therapy equipment to/from patient care areas.
• Assists with medical gas cylinder transfers and inventory control.
• Performs daily rounds to track equipment inventory.
• Decontaminates, tests, and reassembles RT equipment per policy.
• Maintains decontamination logs and par levels in RT supply rooms.
• Answers department phone and assists customers promptly with RT staff.
