Job summary

University Hospitals seeks an entry-level Respiratory Equipment Tech for Parma, OH. This PRN role targets current Respiratory Therapy students who will assist with cleaning, setting up, and maintaining respiratory equipment and stock RT inventory across the facility.

Responsibilities include assisting RT staff with non-clinical duties and ensuring compliance with policies and PHI handling. This position provides hands-on exposure in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

  • Open to current Respiratory Therapy students.
  • Willingness to perform non-clinical duties as part of the role.
  • Able to assist with PHI handling and comply with UH policies.

A Brief Overview

This entry level position is for current Respiratory Therapy students. Equipment techs will be responsible for cleaning, maintaining and setting up of all respiratory equipment. Also stocking and maintaining the RT inventory in storeroom and in RT areas throughout the facility as needed. Assists the RT staff with any non-clinical duties.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.

  • Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
