Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a Respiratory Educator to design, develop, and evaluate training programs for respiratory therapists, nurses, and other clinicians. The role coordinates with Respiratory Therapy and Nursing to create an annual education plan aligned with department goals and quality improvements.

The educator will establish an annual competency plan for therapists and contribute to ongoing education that supports high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required; graduate degree preferred.
• Three years of clinical experience required.
• RRT credential from NBRC is required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, teach, and evaluate education programs for respiratory therapists, nurses, and clinicians.
• Coordinate as liaison between Respiratory Therapy and Nursing to build an annual education plan.

What We Offer

What You'll Do

• Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. Graduate Degree, preferred.
• Experience: Three years of experience, required.
• Licensure/Certification/Registration: RRT credential designated by the NBRC, required.
• Additional Skills Required:
  • Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work accurately while meeting multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions.
  • Ability to exercise sound and independent judgment.
  • Knowledge and skill in use of job appropriate technology and software applications.
