Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Respiratory Care Technician for Elmhurst Hospital in Elmhurst, IL. Per diem shifts include 7am–3pm, 3pm–11pm, 11pm–7am, and some weekend 7am–7pm or 7pm–7am, with benefits and premium pay structures.

You will assess and treat patients from pediatric to geriatric, administer respiratory therapy, maintain equipment, and document in patient charts under supervision of a Respiratory Therapist. Requires enrollment in AMA-approved program and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Education: AMA approved school of respiratory therapy with successful completion of at least half of program (1 year of 2-year or 2 years of 4-year).
• Certification: Current CPR certification by American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat all ages from pediatric to geriatric.
• Deliver respiratory therapy including gases, medications, aerosol and humidity therapies.
• Understand therapy modes, indications, contraindications, hazards, adverse reactions.
