Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years’ experience as a technician or therapist in general adult care.
• Current License as a Respiratory Therapist in Louisiana.
• Certification by the National Board of Respiratory Care.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff and ensure maintenance of equipment.
• Present information clearly and professionally.
• Manage the schedules and activities of Therapists and EKG Technicians.

Skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Proficiency in Windows-style applications

Ability to perform chart audits

Education

Graduation from an Accredited Respiratory Care Program

Tools

Basic Life Support (BLS)

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
