Job summary

Allegheny Health Network seeks a Respiratory Therapist to provide assessment, treatment, and evaluation for patients with respiratory disorders under licensed medical direction. The role includes administering therapy, documenting care, and performing diagnostic procedures.

Requires Pennsylvania licensure or Temporary Practice Permit and CRT; two years of hospital respiratory experience preferred. Dental and other pre-employment screenings as required by policy may apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved respiratory therapy program.
• PA licensure as a Respiratory Therapist or Temporary Practice Permit (TPP) required.
• CRT (National Board) required prior to expiration of TPP.
• Preferred: RRT credential.
• Two years' experience in pulmonary/respiratory medicine is preferred in hospital settings.

Responsibilities

• Administers therapeutic respiratory care procedures according to hospital and department policies.
• Completes documentation to measure and monitor department effectiveness (charting, billing, IPOC, education).
• Performs diagnostic respiratory procedures according to hospital and department policies.
• Provides instruction to patients and other healthcare team members as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
