Qualifications

• High School or GED is required.
• CPR certification (American Red Cross) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for patient treatment; receives orders from Physicians for treatment; reviews requests to determine requirements for treatments; prioritizes work assignments; gathers necessary materials and equipment transports to patient's bedside.
• Administers respiratory care procedures including MDI, medication nebulization, oxygen and aerosol therapy, and incentive spirometry; explains treatment to patient and monitors response.
• Records pertinent data on patient charts; notifies Medical or Nursing personnel of adverse reactions; performs auscultation and assesses patient status; supports age-appropriate care.
• Maintains equipment and performs quality controls; contributes to safety, quality, and efficiency in a High Reliability Organization (HRO).
