Job summary

OhioHealth seeks a Respiratory Technician to perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to support patient breathing and overall care. You will evaluate respiratory care, communicate results to the care team, and assist with complex transports as needed.

Responsibilities include preparing treatments, following physician orders, administering MDI, nebulization, oxygen therapy, and invasive ABG sampling. Requires High School or GED, CPR, and an active Ohio license or permit.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• CPR certification required (American Red Cross).
• Candidate must meet Ohio licensure requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for patient treatment and follows physician orders for therapy.
• Administers respiratory therapies including MDI, nebulization, oxygen, and ventilation support.
• Performs invasive procedures such as ABG sampling and arterial blood analysis.
• Monitors patient status, records data, and communicates findings to the medical team.
• Maintains equipment and adheres to safety and quality standards as a high reliability organization.
• Assists with trauma, critical care transports, and neonatal respiratory care as needed.
