Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health in Edison, NJ is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver direct patient care within a dedicated unit. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care as part of an interdisciplinary team, directing and coordinating care for a variety of patients.

Qualifications

• Requires RN licensure with current NJ RN license.
• BSN in progress or will complete within specified timeframe.
• Minimum six months of nursing experience or participation in Nurse Residency.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and collect comprehensive data.
• Perform age and disease-specific assessments and data collection.
• Identify education needs based on age, disease, and culture.
• Develop and coordinate a patient/family-centered plan of care.
• Communicate and implement the plan with the health care team.
• Provide patient/family education and documentation.
• Administer medications with bar-scanning systems.
• Discharge patients ensuring safe transition of care.
• Evaluate progress and adjust care as needed.
• Maintain competencies and comply with standards and policies.
