ProMedica in Toledo, OH is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to provide care for patients with severe respiratory conditions. You will help create care plans, evaluate goals, and communicate with the health care team.

The role includes clinical instruction of respiratory care, nursing students, and residents, plus orienting new staff and contributing to team growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; active CRT or RRT credential by NBRC.
• BLS current certification required; state license to render respiratory care in Ohio and/or Michigan.
• Maintains ongoing education and annual competencies; ACLS/NRP/PALS preferred.

Location:Toledo HospitalDepartment:PulmonaryWeekly Hours:36Status:Full timeShift:Variable (United States of America)Job Summary:When a patient has a severe respiratory condition in a ProMedica hospital, a Respiratory Care Practitioner provides the care they need in a general, clinical, emergency, and/or diagnostic care area.You will help create a care plan, evaluate goals, and maintain communication with appropriate members of a patient’s health care team.In this role, you will help with clinical instruction of respiratory care, nursing, medical students, and residents as needed. You will also help orient new staff and contribute to the growth of others to strengthen the team.The above summary is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed in this role. It should not be considered exhaustive.REQUIREMENTSHigh school diploma or GED and maintain credential as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).Current BLSMust be licensed to render respiratory care services by the respective state(s) of practice – Ohio and/or Michigan.
