Job summary

Providence Covenant Specialty Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to plan, prepare and deliver respiratory care procedures and diagnostic studies. You will document care, test and operate respiratory equipment, and assist with patient billing at Covenant Specialty Hospital.

Texas licensure, BLS at hire, and ACLS/PALS within 90 days are required; a strong commitment to patient-centered care and teamwork is essential in a night-shift role.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care from an AMA-approved program.
• 1 year of experience in respiratory care or clinical training.
• Texas Respiratory Care Practitioner License at hire.
• BLS certification at hire.
• ACLS and PALS certifications required within 90 days of hire.

Required qualifications:

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Care Program at an AMA approved college/university -OR- Bachelor's Degree from a Respiratory Care Program from an AMA approved college/university in lieu of an Associate's Degree and 1 year of experience.
• 1 year Experience (May include clinical portion of training program).
• Upon hire: Texas Respiratory Care Practitioner License
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• Required within 90 days of hire: National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association
• Required within 90 days of hire: National Provider PALS - American Heart Association

Preferred qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Flight Training.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
