Qualifications

BayCare Health System is currently in search of our newest Respiratory Care Practitioner who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service to our community at BayCare HomeCare - Extended Care.

The Extended Care team currently contracts Respiratory Therapy programming with 91 nursing homes in 9 counties. As one of the largest providers of home care services in the State of Florida, BayCare HomeCare has provided quality home care to Florida residents since 1976.

Position Details:

1. Facility: BayCare Health System, Extended Care-HC
2. Location: Gainesville
3. Status: POOL, Exempt: No
4. Shift Hours: 8:00AM-5:30PM
5. Shift: Days
6. Weekend Work: Never
7. On Call: No

The Respiratory Care Practitioner services patients in their home/contracted facility by providing either clinical respiratory services or equipment management services on a scheduled visit/appointment or through on-call notification.

Responsibilities:

1. Completing day to day orders called into the Respiratory Therapy Department and follow up on visits for apnea monitor and or ventilator patients, in compliance with all regulatory agencies.
2. Education of patient and caregivers regarding set up, use, maintenance and safety of respiratory therapy equipment in the home.
3. Performs diagnostic testing on behalf of the physician.
4. Communication with the patient's physician regarding clarification of orders or the patient's response to care may be required.
5. Performs other duties as assigned.

Certifications and Licensures Required:

1. RRT (Respiratory Therapy License) OR CRT welcomed for review
2. Active NBRC Credential for RRT
3. BLS
4. Active Drivers License

Education Required:

1. Technical Respiratory Therapy
2. Associate's Respiratory Therapy
