Job summary

Parkview Health is seeking a Reg Resp Care Practitioner in Huntington, IN (on-site). The role provides therapeutic respiratory care, performs bedside diagnostics, and maintains care plans while evaluating patients and guiding new hires.

On-call availability and the ability to lift 30 pounds are required. Education must include graduation from a respiratory therapy program, with NBRC RRT credential and current state license; CPR is required with ACLS/PALS/NRP within six months unless exempt.

Qualifications

• Must graduate from a respiratory therapy program.
• Must obtain entry-level NBRC credential (Registered Respiratory Therapist). Must have a current state license for Respiratory Care Practitioners.
• Must have current CPR certification. Must have ACLS, PALs, and NRP certifications or obtain within six months from date of hire (some exceptions apply for PRMC Pulmonary Rehab roles).
• Experience: None; on-call eligibility required; able to lift 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic respiratory care to all patient populations.
• Perform bedside diagnostic procedures as needed.
• Review and maintain respiratory care plans.
• Perform evaluations on patients and adjust care accordingly.
• Assist as a preceptor for students and new hires.
