University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center in La Plata, MD seeks a Respiratory Care Practitioner to deliver therapeutic and technical respiratory services in accordance with established standards of care.

Applicants must be a graduate of an accredited program, hold NBRC registry, Maryland licensure, BCLS, and ACLS/PALS within the first year; plus one year of RRT experience. Competitive benefits and sign-on eligibility.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of respiratory therapy.
• Successfully passed the NBRC Registry examination.
• Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the State of Maryland.
• Must complete hospital and departmental orientation and maintain BCLS certification.
• ACLS and PALS certification required within the first year of employment and maintained thereafter.
• One year of direct experience as an RRT is required.

Work Experience

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of respiratory therapy
• Successfully passed the Registry Board examination of the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
• Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the State of Maryland.
• The candidate must successfully complete hospital orientation and departmental based orientation programs and possess and maintain a current BCLS certification.
• ACLS and PALS certification is also required and must be completed within the first year of employment and maintained thereafter
• One year of direct experience as an RRT required.
