Job summary

PAM Health hospitals seek a Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner to perform routine cardiopulmonary procedures, maintain equipment, and provide phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing as required.

You will collaborate with colleagues and leadership to deliver compassionate patient care and support patient recovery for chronically and critically ill inpatients.

Qualifications

• Licensed or certified to practice respiratory care in the hospital's state.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Blood gas licensure required if employed in Nevada.
• Minimum high school diploma; associate degree preferred.
• At least one year of clinical respiratory experience preferred.
• Willingness to learn or prior inpatient hospital experience.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Perform routine therapy, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for patients in PAM Health hospitals
• Maintain all respiratory care equipment in working order
• Provide phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing for the patient population as required or requested
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested
• Care for chronically and critically ill patients requiring extended hospital care
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and leadership to deliver compassionate patient care and support patient recovery

Requirements

• Certified or licensed in the state where the hospital resides to practice respiratory care
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required
• Blood gas licensure required if employed in the state of Nevada
• For hospitals performing arterial punctures and/or running blood gases, at least a high school diploma is required; an associate degree is preferred
• Minimum of one-year clinical respiratory experience preferred
• Willingness and commitment to learn, or prior inpatient hospital experience
