ProMedica is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner at Flower Hospital in the Respiratory Care department. The role involves providing care in general, clinical, emergency, and diagnostic settings, building care plans, evaluating goals, and communicating with the health care team.

You will also contribute to clinical instruction for students and staff, orient new personnel, and support team growth to strengthen patient outcomes.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED and credential as CRT or RRT by NBRC.
• Current BLS.
• Must be licensed to render respiratory care by Ohio and/or Michigan, with ongoing CE and competencies.

Job Summary:

When a patient has a severe respiratory condition in a ProMedica hospital, a Respiratory Care Practitioner provides the care they need in a general, clinical, emergency, and/or diagnostic care area.

You will help create a care plan, evaluate goals, and maintain communication with appropriate members of a patient’s health care team.

In this role, you will help with clinical instruction of respiratory care, nursing, medical students, and residents as needed. You will also help orient new staff and contribute to the growth of others to strengthen the team.

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or GED and maintain credential as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).




• Current BLS




• Must be licensed to render respiratory care services by the respective state(s) of practice - Ohio and/or Michigan. Will stay current in the practice of Respiratory Care by actively participating in continuing education and maintaining certifications and annual competencies

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

• ACLS, NRP, and PALS certification is recommended, and may be required at somebusiness units.
