Job summary

MultiCare Health System's Deaconess Hospital in Spokane, WA seeks a Respiratory Care Practitioner/ERT to deliver advanced respiratory care, ventilator management, and related ER tech duties for a 0.3 FTE night shift with weekends.

The role requires graduation from an AMA approved program, NBRC RRT, WA RCP license, ACLS/NRP/PALS, and BLS, plus at least one year of acute care experience. Internal candidates may be considered. The hospital emphasizes teamwork and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA approved Respiratory Therapy Training program.
• Registered (RRT) by the NBRC.
• Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in Washington.
• NBRC RRT exam eligibility required.
• ACLS, NRP and PALS within 90 days of hire or as age dictates.
• BLS certification is required.
• Minimum one year of acute care experience; CRT preferred.
• Internal candidates may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Performs respiratory care procedures per physician orders and policies.
• Monitors modalities to improve efficacy and safety.
• Detects and reports adverse events related to ventilation and care.
• Documents data, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.
• Assists RN or LIP in patient care within scope of practice.
• Provides direct patient care under supervision per unit guidelines.
• Performs POCT laboratory testing.
