Job summary

Houston Methodist System Float Pool is seeking an experienced Respiratory Care Practitioner for night shift coverage. The position requires flexibility to float across Houston Methodist hospital locations as needed, with PRN 2–3 shifts per week and a focus on advanced respiratory care procedures.

Ideal candidates bring extensive RCP experience, critical care exposure, and the ability to mentor staff while contributing to quality improvement initiatives and education programs across the system.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s).
• Four years experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner with at least two years in a critical care level preferred.
• License: RCP, RRT, BLS, ACLS; NRP within 90 days; preferred PALS and NBRC credentials.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced respiratory care procedures and therapies.
• Mentor and precept Respiratory Care staff and students.
• Participate in quality improvement, research, and department committees.
