Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide basic and critical respiratory care for adult and geriatric patients. The role involves documentation, order adherence, and supervision of staff as delegated, in accordance with department policies.

Responsibilities include administering aerosol and oxygen therapy, drawing ABGs, and caring for mechanically ventilated patients, with emphasis on accuracy of records and patient education.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Respiratory Therapy Program (Required).
• Assesses and documents appropriateness of prescribed respiratory therapy and recommend modifications.

Responsibilities

• Assesses and documents prescribed respiratory therapy and suggests modifications.
• Administers aerosol and oxygen therapy and maintains patient records.
• Draws arterial blood gases per policy and physician orders.
• Provides care for mechanically ventilated patients.
• Assists with department operations, staff training and supervision of new staff.
• Documents treatments and maintains clinical records.
• Assists with equipment setup, monitoring and infection prevention measures.
• Evaluates patient response and updates treatment plans.
• Performs respiratory tests and related procedures.
• Supports quality improvement activities and scheduling.
