Job summary

ProMedica is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner for Bay Park Hospital on the night shift. The role supports patients with severe respiratory conditions across clinical and emergency areas, develops care plans, and communicates with the health care team.

The candidate will contribute to clinical instruction, orient new staff, and help grow the team. External candidates may qualify for a $20,000 sign-on bonus with a two-year commitment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with NBRC CRT or RRT credential.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Must be licensed to render respiratory care by Ohio and/or Michigan and maintain ongoing education.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to patients across clinical and emergency settings.
• Create and follow patient care plans and evaluate progress with the care team.
• Instruct nursing students, medical students, and residents; orient new staff and foster team growth.

Job Summary

$20,000 Sign on Bonus for external candidates with a 2 year commitment

When a patient has a severe respiratory condition in a ProMedica hospital, a Respiratory Care Practitioner provides the care they need in a general, clinical, emergency, and/or diagnostic care area.

You will help create a care plan, evaluate goals, and maintain communication with appropriate members of a patient’s health care team.

In this role, you will help with clinical instruction of respiratory care, nursing, medical students, and residents as needed. You will also help orient new staff and contribute to the growth of others to strengthen the team.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and maintain credential as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).

• Current BLS
• Must be licensed to render respiratory care services by the respective state(s) of practice - Ohio and/or Michigan. Will stay current in the practice of Respiratory Care by actively participating in continuing education and maintaining certifications and annual competencies

Preferred Requirements

• ACLS, NRP, and PALS certification is recommended, and may be required at some business units.
• Membership in the American Association of Respiratory Care
