A leading healthcare provider seeks a Respiratory Care Practitioner to assess patients with respiratory disorders and administer appropriate therapies. The role requires collaboration with healthcare teams, evaluation of treatment plans, and education on respiratory health. The Respiratory Care Practitioner is responsible for assessing patients with respiratory disorders, conducting diagnostic tests, developing treatment plans, and administering respiratory therapy. This role operates medical devices, monitors patient responses, and provides emergency care when needed. This role works closely with healthcare teams to manage respiratory conditions, improve lung function, and enhance patient well-being. Working under some supervision, this role also educates patients about respiratory health and disease prevention.
Responsibilities include restoring pulmonary function and alleviating pain through prescribed respiratory therapy, conducting pulmonary function tests, and interpreting evaluation results. The practitioner administers inhalants, operates mechanical ventilators, and monitors physiological responses to therapy. They evaluate treatment effects, adjust plans accordingly, and contribute to discharge planning and home care instructions. Additional duties include performing bronchopulmonary drainage, assisting with breathing exercises, and ensuring continuity of care post-discharge.
