Hunterdon Health is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner for full-time day shifts at our Flemington, NJ campus. The role delivers independent respiratory care, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and clinical care evaluations under supervision.

The practitioner supports safety, documentation, patient advocacy, and quality initiatives. Ideal candidates graduate from a respiratory therapy program, have NJ licensure, CPR, and ACLS within two years of hire; two years acute care experience is

Competenze

• Graduate from a respiratory therapy program.

• New Jersey license in Respiratory Therapy and CPR certification; ACLS required within 2 years if not certified at hire.
• PALS preferred for some staff and per diem ACLS/PALS considerations.

Respiratory Care Practitioner

PositionSummary

The Respiratory Care Practitioner possesses sufficient training and experience to perform independent professional respiratory care diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, clinical evaluations of care including the establishment of therapeutic objectives and the review of care. Supports the mission, philosophy and objectives of Hunterdon Medical Center.

• Perform Pulmonary Function Testing if applicable.

Qualifications

Required

Graduate from a respiratory therapy program

Preferred

None

Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation)

Required

Two years of acute care experience

License, Registry or Certification

Required

New Jersey License in Respiratory and CPR certification. ACLS certification required; if not ACLS certified upon hire, must obtain within two years (Full or Part Time Only)

Preferred

PALS Certification for Full and Part Time staff

ACLS and PALS Certification Per Diem employees

Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities

Required

The ability to function independently, computer skills. Use hospital approved equipment including but not limited to bipap/cpap; ventilators; end tidal CO2; high flow oxygen therapy and all other components of respiratory care.
