Job summary

Viper Staffing Services L.L.C. seeks a Respiratory Care Practitioner in Eureka, CA to assess, diagnose, and treat patients.

You’ll administer respiratory care, monitor patient responses, and collaborate with physicians to devise treatment plans in a fast-paced hospital setting. Qualified candidates will hold a California Respiratory Care Practitioner license on hire, obtain BLS, and complete ACLS and PALS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a respiratory therapy program approved by relevant accrediting bodies.
• California Respiratory Care Practitioner License upon hire.
• BLS certification upon hire (American Heart Association).
• ACLS and PALS certifications within 90 days of hire.
• 2 years of full-time hospital-based acute care respiratory care experience across CCU/ED/MAU/Telemetry, etc.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory care to assigned patients.

• Communicate with physicians and specialists about patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Administer nursing care to ill, injured, or disabled patients
• Diagnose and establish patient treatment plans
• Monitorand report changes in patient symptoms or behavior
• Communicate with collaborating physicians orspecialists regarding patientcare
• Educate patients about health maintenance and disease prevention
• Facilitatereferrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
• Maintain accurate patient medical records
• Provide advice and emotional support to patients and their family members

Qualifications:

• Graduate of a program in respiratory therapy approved by the Committee on Allied Health Education & Accreditation of the American Medical Association.
• Upon hire: California Respiratory Care Practitioner License
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• Within 90 days of hire: National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association
• Within 90 days of hire: National Provider PALS - American Heart Association
• 2 yearsFull time hospital based acute care Respiratory Care Practitioner experience that includes Critical Care, Emergency Department, Medical Surgical, Telemetry, Child Birth Center, Nursery, Neonatal ICU, and PACU. Current RCP’s with certification and experience meet requirement for role.
