Job summary

Atrium Medical Center in Middletown, OH is seeking a Respiratory Care Education Coordinator to lead education and training across Respiratory Care Services. The role oversees competencies, conducts instruction for staff and students, and implements policies and procedures in collaboration with Premier Health system services.

The position supports quality goals, staffing needs, and service recovery as required, while maintaining ongoing communication with leadership and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; AS or equivalent acceptable.
• Bachelors degree preferred for advancement.
• Respiratory care licensure and NBRC credentials required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, perform, and arrange clinical competencies or training for new staff, students, and ORientees.
• Conduct instruction for interdisciplinary staff members.
• Implement, document, and monitor new modalities, equipment, services, policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with Premier Health system services for interdisciplinary education.

• Ensure customer satisfaction and participate in service recovery as needed.
• Provide input for evaluation and maintain multi-directional communication.
• Assist with day-to-day staffing and promote quality goals.

Description

The Respiratory Care Education Coordinator is responsible for all education and training processes in Respiratory Care Services. The Education Coordinator will personally oversee, perform, and/or arrange clinical competencies or training sessions for new orientees, students and staff. He/she may conduct instruction for all interdisciplinary staff members. New modalities, equipment, services, policies and procedures will be executed, documented, and monitored by the Education Coordinator. The Education Coordinator will collaborate with Premier Health system services to provide interdisciplinary education. The Education Coordinator will also assist the Respiratory Leadership team with implementation, updating, and creation of policies and procedures. He/she ensures customer satisfaction and participates in service recovery as required. The Education Coordinator will provide input and participate in evaluation process, maintains multi-directional communication to address issues and concerns. The Education Coordinator assists in day to day staffing functions as requested. The Coordinator will assist with and promote quality goals.

Qualifications

Education Minimum Level of Education Required: Associate degree Additional requirements:

• Preferred educational qualifications: Bachelor's degree

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• Valid Ohio Respiratory Care License
• Valid registered respiratory therapist credential through the NBRC.
• Must be BLS and ACLS certified upon hire.
• PALS and NRP certification required within 90 days of hire or based upon course availability
• NRP Instructor status required within 6 months of hire or based upon course availability
