Job description

Position Summary

The RCA II will work only under direct supervision of a NC licensed RCP, under the Clinical Supervision of the Medical Director of Respiratory Care and the overall supervision of the Manager and Supervisor of Respiratory Care. The Respiratory Care Assistant II (RCA II) provides safe, expedient, cost‑effective respiratory care services. As a member of a team of health‑care professionals, the RCA II evaluates, treats, and manages patients of all ages with respiratory illnesses and other cardiopulmonary disorders in a wide variety of clinical settings. The RCA II behaves in a manner consistent with the standards and ethics of all healthcare professionals. In addition to performing respiratory care procedures, the RCA II is required to document in the patient medical record factual, accurate, complete, timely, legible, and legal information about the care they provide to each patient.

Minimum Requirements

• Over 1 year active student in a CoARC accredited Respiratory Care program
• American Heart Association BLS Certification
• Active licensure with the North Carolina Respiratory Care Board upon hire
• American Heart Association Advanced Life Support Certification (ACLS), if not current at time of hire, must be completed within the first 12 months of employment and maintained

Pay Range

Pay Range begins at $28.54
