Job summary

Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital in Troy, Michigan, is seeking a part-time Respiratory Therapist Assistant for the evening shift. Under supervision of a Registered Respiratory Therapist, you will deliver respiratory therapy to patients of all ages and follow established care plans to ensure quality outcomes.

The role requires enrollment in a Respiratory Therapy degree program and completion of department training modules, plus BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a Respiratory Therapy degree program.
• Must complete department training modules and competency checks.
• Completion of basic therapy clinical rotation during schooling.
• CRT-BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients with acute and chronic illness under supervision of a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• Follow the patient care plan and protocols for medication delivery and oxygen titration.
• Set up and monitor non-invasive ventilation as site allows.
• Process equipment, disinfect reusable supplies, maintain oxygen tanks.
• Document orders and reinforce patient/family education.
