Job summary

Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, OH is seeking a Respiratory Therapist I to perform respiratory assessment, therapy, evaluation, testing, education and communication for all patient populations. You will coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team and ensure compliance with state laws and institutional policies.

The role requires an Associate Degree with licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in Ohio, NBRC RRT credential, BLS, ACLS within 90 days and PALS within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Minimum level of education is an associate degree.
• Degree type: Applied Science or equivalent.
• Area of study or major: Respiratory Care or NBRC registry.
• Preferred educational qualifications: Bachelor’s degree.
• Licensure/Certification/Registration: Ohio Respiratory Care License.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist credential.

Description

The Respiratory Therapist RT I functions in a multi-faceted role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence in the practice of respiratory care. The RT I is responsible for the respiratory assessment, therapeutic treatment, evaluation, testing, education, and communication for all patient populations served. The RT I will coordinate care with interdisciplinary team to promote excellent patient experience. The RT I is responsible for maintaining compliance with the Ohio Respiratory Care Laws, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional and system policies.
