Crisp Regional Hospital, Inc. seeks a Respiratory Therapist – Registered to join the Respiratory Therapy Department.
The role supports delivery of respiratory care with cardiac and pulmonary testing across neonatal to geriatric patients, following established protocols to prevent and intervene in life-threatening situations. Responsibilities include planning and evaluating patient care, documenting interventions, educating patients and families, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team
Under the leadership of the Director, Respiratory Therapy, the Respiratory Therapist – Registered is an active member of the Respiratory Therapy Department that assists in the delivery of respiratory care and services. The Respiratory Therapist - Registered, provides age appropriate and culturally sensitive respiratory care, as well as cardiac and pulmonary diagnostic testing to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. The Therapist utilizes the Respiratory Therapy Protocols in the prevention of and intervention in life-threatening situations. The Therapist provides professional quality care that maximizes the patient’s respiratory function and enhances the efficiency and effectiveness of the department.
Requires an Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Care from an accredited school. A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
Requires two to four years of work-related experience or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Requires and maintains a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) registration.
Requires and maintains a certification in Basic Life Saving (BLS), ACLS, PALS.
NRP required within 3 months of hire.
