Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• Valid Texas Teacher Certificate or out‑of‑state certificate appropriate for the position.
• Special education certificate required.
• ESL certification must be obtained within the first year if not already held.
• Certification must meet federal and state qualification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans according to district curriculum with written prep evidence.
• Create accommodations for diverse learning styles and reflect TEA guidelines.
• Assist in developing and writing students’ IEPs and set goals.
• Monitor progress and adjust instructional objectives as needed.
• Collaborate with parents, staff, and administration to support student needs.
• Participate in required meetings and complete reports.
