Job summary

Spring Branch Independent School District seeks a Special Education Teacher - Co-Teach to provide instructional program and guidance for students needing services. Collaborate with general education teachers to implement IEPs and accommodations.

Requires Bachelor's degree, Texas teaching certificate, special education certification, and ESL certification within the first year. Exempt position; 188 days per year; probationary/term contract. Leadership reports to the Director of Special Education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Valid Texas Teacher Certificate or an out-of-state teaching certificate appropriate for the position.
• Special education certificate.
• ESL certification required during the first year if not already obtained.
• Certification must meet federal and/or state law requirements for maintaining eligibility for this position.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned to the district's curriculum program.
• Assist in developing and writing students' IEPs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to provide for learner needs.
• Follow instructional objectives based on each student's learning style.
• Monitor student progress and maintain required records and reports.
• Communicate with parents and other school personnel regarding student development.
