Job summary

Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) is hiring a Special Education Teacher - Resource Teacher to join our team in a school setting. The role emphasizes developing and implementing IEPs for K-12 students, coordinating with staff and families, and ensuring a supportive classroom environment.

Candidates should have a Colorado State Special Services Provider or State Teacher's License, be in the process of obtaining a CDE license, and possess at least two years of public school classroom

Qualifications

• Colorado State Special Services Provider OR State Teacher's License required.
• Must have or be in process of having CDE license (we cannot sign TEE).
• Experience working with K-12 students in public schools.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute IEPs for each student.
• Communicate progress with staff and families.
• Prepare detailed lesson plans and obtain administrator approval.
• Participate in IEP meetings as scheduled by the school.
• Use individualized reinforcement techniques to support students.
• Collaborate with on-site therapists regarding behavior and discipline.
