Job summary

Platinum Therapy seeks a Resource Specialist Teacher (RST) to provide school-based special education services in Siskiyou County, California. You will serve as the case manager for a caseload of up to 28 students across multiple sites, develop and monitor IEPs, and coordinate IEP meetings with families and school staff.

The role requires collaboration with teachers and multidisciplinary teams, strong communication, and the ability to travel between sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• Valid California Special Education teaching credential or other California credential/authorization.
• Experience with IEPs and special education case management.
• Knowledge of California special education requirements and procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of up to 28 students across multiple school sites.
• Serve as the special education case manager for assigned students.
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs.
• Schedule, coordinate, and facilitate IEP meetings with families, teachers, administrators, and related service providers.
• Monitor progress toward academic and educational goals.
• Prepare and complete IEP progress reports and other required documentation.
• Provide specialized instruction based on individual student needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to support students in the least restrictive environment.
• Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, teachers, administrators, and multidisciplinary team members.
• Travel between assigned school sites as needed.
