Job description

Backstage Health is seeking a Resource Specialist (RSP) Teacher for a school-based assignment in Sunnyvale, California. This is a part-time W-2 seasonal position for the remainder of the school year.

Responsibilities

The Resource Specialist will provide specialized academic instruction and support to students with IEPs in collaboration with general education teachers, special education staff, families, and related service providers.

• Provide specialized academic instruction to students individually and in small groups
• Implement accommodations, modifications, and instructional strategies outlined in students’ IEPs
• Monitor student progress toward IEP goals and maintain appropriate documentation
• Develop and update academic goals, progress reports, and related special education records
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaboration
• Support students in accessing the general education curriculum
• Collaborate with teachers regarding instructional strategies and student needs
• Communicate with parents and school staff regarding student progress
• Maintain service logs and required special education documentation
• Support case management responsibilities as assigned
• Ensure services are provided in accordance with students’ IEPs and district procedures

Qualifications

• Current California Education Specialist Instruction Credential or other appropriate special education credential
• Experience working with students receiving special education services
• Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
• School-based RSP or special education experience preferred
• Location: Sunnyvale, CA
• Employment Type: W-2 Seasonal Employee
• Duration: Remainder of the school year
• Pay: $70-75/hour
