Qualifications
- English proficiency for direct patient care as required by VA.
- Graduate of an ACEN/CCNE-accredited nursing program or bridge program eligibility.
- Current, full, active RN license in the United States.
- GNT temporary appointment option while pursuing licensure where applicable.
- Grandfathering provision applies to VA employees in 0610 series as of 2024.
Responsibilities
- Provide competent, evidence-based care to patients.
- Oversee LVNs/LPNs and nursing assistants as appropriate to the setting.
- Direct nursing education, orientation, and competency development.
- Support quality improvement and outcomes utilization.
