Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Resource/Float Pool Nurse who assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care centered on patient education, self-management, and satisfaction across the continuum of care.

The incumbent coordinates care and administers medications per established policies. Basic requirements include English proficiency, graduation from an approved nursing program, and active registration in the United States.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by ACEN/CCNE.
• State licensure or active progress toward licensure as applicable.
• Veterans Affairs qualification standards may apply and foreign education evaluated if needed.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate age-specific nursing care.
• Coordinate care focused on patient education, self-management and satisfaction.
• Administer medications and procedures per policies and guidelines.
