Job summary

South Shore Health is seeking a Resource Nurse to lead department operations during assigned shifts, coordinate patient placement and care progression, and provide clinical support to staff. The role includes selecting assignments, leading huddles, and ensuring regulatory and safety readiness within a busy unit.

The ideal candidate has BSN (or is in progress within 3 years of hire) and at least 3 years of specialty nursing experience, with active RN licensure in Massachusetts and certifications

Qualifications

• BSN required or enrolled; must be completed within 3 years of hire.
• Three (3) years full-time employment or equivalent in specialty nursing practice preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee department operations for a defined shift and assist with patient care as needed.
• Review staffing for current and next shift and assign accordingly; provide direction during shift.
• Lead department huddles and interdisciplinary rounds; ensure regulatory readiness and safety reporting.
