Job summary

Barrick Gold Corporation is seeking a Manager, Resource Modelling to lead advanced resource estimation workflows and ensure defensible mineral resource estimates. You’ll partner with regional SMEs to align models with corporate standards for technical reporting and disclosure.

The role entails evaluating grade estimation methodologies, supporting NI 43-101 compliant disclosures, and driving continuous modeling improvements across geology, metallurgy, and mine planning teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, or related field; or Bachelor of Science with related experience
• Over eight years of geostatistics or resource modeling experience
• Expert knowledge in practical resource estimation with strong geostatistical foundation
• Familiar with RMSP, Leapfrog, acQuire; Deswik, Datamine preferred
• Qualified person as defined by NI 43-101

Responsibilities

• Lead and ensure best-practice resource modeling and estimation workflows
• Ensure compliance with standards for resource estimates and classification
• Support regulatory disclosure under NI 43-101 and S-K 1300
• Evaluate estimation methodologies and interpolation approaches
• Review classification criteria and drill spacing for resource confidence
• Collaborate with site geology on interpretations and domaining
• Conduct drillhole spacing studies for resource conversion
• Perform conditional simulations to assess resource uncertainty
• Identify risks impacting resource confidence and robustness
• Drive continuous improvement in modeling workflows
• Integrate geology, metallurgy, mine planning and exploration geology
• Produce monthly reports on modeling priorities and risks
• Deliver training to site teams on estimation workflows
• Mentor site SMEs and technical teams
• Perform other duties as assigned
