Position Overview:
The Resource Manager serves as the on-site human resources leader for our assisted living community. This role oversees recruitment, hiring, orientation, training, scheduling, performance management, and employee relations — while working closely with the Administrator, department managers, and corporate support staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of staff.
- Coordinate new hire orientation, training, and performance reviews.
- Monitor staffing levels, anticipate vacancies, and proactively recruit.
- Create and maintain staff schedules; minimize overtime and manage OnShift schedules.
- Maintain accurate employee records (licensing, training, evaluations, discipline, etc.)
- Administer attendance programs, employee referral bonuses, and incentive programs.
- Assist department managers with staff discipline and corrective actions.
- Serve as a communication liaison between staff and management.
- Participate in community events and resident life enrichment activities.
- Participate in weekend/evening Manager on Duty rotation.
General Responsibilities:
- Maintain compliance with Life Safety and HIPAA policies.
- Attend ongoing training and education.
- Report safety hazards and resident care concerns promptly.
- Promote a positive, professional work culture aligned with company values.
Qualifications:
- Experience in human resources, healthcare staffing, or assisted living operations preferred.
- Strong organizational, clerical, and communication skills.
- Word processing and scheduling system experience (OnShift preferred).
- Professional, positive attitude and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work with and support elderly residents and their families.
- Maturity, judgment, and ability to manage stressful situations.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
Compensation & Benefits:
- $23.00 – $24.00 per hour based on experience.
